Nocturne(http://docs.blacktree.com/nocturne/nocturne) 을 이용해서 1Password 를 사용한 모습입니다.

Once my eyes start to hurt I invert the screen to reduce my eye strain. I've found the white-on-black colour scheme perfect for reading mail, which I spend at least 2 hours a day doing. I mainly use Nocturne's Monochrome feature, but the true inversion does give a cool effect. Check out how our favorite [password manager](http://1password.com) looks:

One of the winners at last year’s MyDreamApp contest, Portal is being shaped into one of the most promising (and fun) apps yet to come. It’s being touted as the ultimate file-syncing solution for the Mac — whether it’s between two Macs or greater. One of the interesting ideas are the animations that will be available as files are synced, but also the transparency, if so is chosen. And they’re planning some interesting integration with Leopard’s Time Machine. And beyond this, not much is known about the app such as price or release date. But you can count on MyDreamApp to give out the juicy details when the time comes.

This is one of the most complete apps in recent time (besides Coda, of course) — made possible by the first-time Mac developers at BinaryNights. It’s basically a very fast FTP/SFTP client (believe me, I’ve compared it with others), and file manager — whether it’s for local work or in a network. All is contained within a very stylish and productive dual-pane window. Some bonuses include the ability to edit any file from the app, and a complete app deleter (like AppZapper). But my favorite part is the included Favorites list in one of the sidebars. ForkLift is still in a free public beta if you want to check it out, but hopefully will soon be coming out at the very exciting price of $30 (a rather good deal!) — as mentioned on MacApper.

LAN선으로 연결된 맥에 간편하게 파일을 카피하거나 클립보드를 공유할 수 있는 소프트웨어 입니다.
실행하면 데스크탑상에 둥근 원 영역이 생기는데,
이곳에 복사 하고자 하는 파일 등을 드래그 하면 LAN선으로 공유된(물론, 해당 맥에도 DropCopy가 실행되어 있어야 함) 미리 지정된 폴더에 파일을 복사할 수 있습니다.
Mac OS X 10.3.9 이상, Mac OS X 10.4 권장, 프리웨어.

DropCopy uses OpenTalk (Rendezvous) technology to help you to easily and quickly share files and folders between multiple machines across your LAN. May 3, 2007: I updated the download today with a fix. Weather.com changed a few things on the server and it broken updates, but it should be working now. As usual, let me know in the comments if this build isn’t (or is) working for you.

Meteorologist is free, uses Weather.com for its information source, and displays tons of information including radar images and multiple cities. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look as pretty as WeatherPop and is not available as a universal binary (optimized for both Intel and PPC macs). The kicker however is that it been seemingly abandoned by its developers — a new stable version hasn’t been released in over a year.

Thank goodness for lucky breaks and search engines

Luckily because Meteorologist is open source the code is freely available. That said, it required some massaging and a couple of other elements build before it could be compiled as a Universal Binary, After much finagling, cursing, and sacrificing of virgin bloody marys I’ve managed to build an Intel-only version, which I’ve made available for download.

A few things to note:

  1. This is an Intel-only build — it will not run on PPC macs. The current version that is available from the Meteorologist web site is PPC-only and works fine, so if you’re running a G4 or G5 machine that’s where you should go.
  2. This is build from the Meteorologist 1.4.4 source, so it has the same features (and bugs) as that version.
  3. Here comes the bold text again; I am not a developer. Please don’t come asking me for support or send me feature requests or bugs. I don’t know Objective-C or cocoa from a hole in the ground so I can’t help you.
  4. I highly recommend you disable the version checking mechanism as it will constantly tell you that a new version is available. Don’t download it as it will be the PPC version of Meteorologist 1.4.4.

How to fix City Search in Meteorologist 1.4.4

For those of you still using PPC machines, here’s how you can fix city search in the last released version of Meteorologist.

  1. Quit Meteorologist.
  2. Download this file (Right-click on the link and save to your desktop).
  3. Navigate in the Finder / Path Finder to where the Meteorologist application is. Make a copy of Meteorologist (just in case).
  4. Right-click / control-click on Meteorologist and select “Show Package Contents” from the contextual menu.
  5. A new window will open with a folder called Contents showing. Open the Contents folder, and then open the Resources folder.
  6. Drag and drop the weather.xml file you downloaded in step 1 into the Resources folder and confirm that you want to replace the existing file.
  7. Restart Meteorologist. City search should now be working.

This seems to be working for me, but as always your mileage may vary.

다른 것으로는 weatherdock 이 있다,(민)

I used to use WeatherPop, then Meteorologist. Then I found WeatherDock. Much more full-featured, free and a Universal Binary. It’s never broken on me after a couple years of use, and a new version was released within the past few days. I highly recommend it. (Not that we don’t love it when you code.)

In addition, the monthly service fee has been lowered to $15.95/month to match the Windows version. Whether or not the service is worth paying for still depends largely on how much you ship, but the lower price is a welcome improvement.

SleepLess, InsomniaX - 듀얼 모니터 상태에서 하나만 사용하고 싶을 때

SleepLess란 프로그램이 해결해 주는군요. 최근 업데이트가 되면서 드디어 인텔 맥도 지원하게 되었습니다.

방법은:

1. 모니터를 연결한다. (두 화면 모두 켜집니다.)
2. SleepLess를 실행하고 "Prevent sleep with lid closed"를 선택한다.
3. 노트북 뚜껑을 닫는다. (잠들지 않습니다.)
4. 모니터 환경 설정에서 "모니터 검색"을 누른다. (외장 모니터만 인식하게 됩니다.)
5. 발열을 줄이기 위해 노트북 뚜껑을 열어 놓는다.

이젠 재울 필요 없습니다~
